Wave-like shapes were used as a source of inspiration when designing the Katai series from Forged. This is reflected in the shape of the blade and how the shape then continues into the handle. This results in a special and striking design. The blade is completely hand-forged in 5 layers of Japanese VG10 steel. The hammer blow on the blade is basically the same as the other series. However, it has undergone additional finishing using a very fine hammer. However, this method of editing is a lot more intensive, but results in a refined look with a completely unique appearance. The handle is in turn made of beautiful root wood. The wood is first filled with resin, then pressed and finally modeled. This process makes each knife unique in finish, size, color and wood structure.
