Antique Meat Grinder?

Give your meat grinder a second round...

We have all (yes, all!) the parts to give your antique meat grinder a second go!

Look in the attic, marketplace or local thrift store and make your own minced meat, sausage, burgers and more. Almost all antique mills run on the Enterprise system.

This is a useful tool, because Porkert, Alexanderwerk, and Jupiter, for example, use these sizes. The Enterprise number of your reel is often cast into the neck, engraved on the spine of the plate or on the blade.

The dimensions of the Enterprise system:

Knife Enterprise: Boring worm:
Knife Enterprise 5 Square bore worm 8.8mm
Knife Enterprise 7 Square bore worm 9.2mm
Knife Enterprise 8 Square bore worm 10.4mm
Knife Enterprise 10/12 Square bore worm 11.7mm
Knife Enterprise 22 Square bore worm 13.6mm
Knife Enterprise 32 Square bore worm 15.1mm

Plate Enterprise: Plate diameter: Boring worm:
Plate Enterprise 5 53mm round 8.3mm
Plate Enterprise 8 62mm round 9.7mm
Plate Enterprise 10/12 70mm round 10mm
Plate Enterprise 22 83mm round 11.5mm
Plate Enterprise 32 100mm round 13.5mm

Give your antique meat grinder a good cleaning with hot water and a little soap. Then dry it well and give it a thin layer of sunflower oil. Then put in a new knife and a new plate, and you're done! You're now ready to make your own minced meat, sausage, burgers and more!

These mills, among others, work with the Enterprise system:

  • Porkert
  • Alexander work
  • Husqvarna
  • Bolinder
  • Alpha
  • Jupiter
  • Reliance
  • Moravia
  • Titan
  • SwM
  • Sphinx
  • Westmark (note: sometimes a small deviation)
