Antique Meat Grinder?
Give your meat grinder a second round...
We have all (yes, all!) the parts to give your antique meat grinder a second run!
Look in the attic, marketplace or local thrift store and make your own minced meat, sausage, burgers and more. Almost all antique mills run on the Enterprise system.
This is a handy tool, because Porkert, Alexanderwerk, and Jupiter use these sizes. The Enterprise number of your mill is often cast into the neck, engraved on the back of the plate or on the blade.
The dimensions of the Enterprise system:
Mes Enterprise: | Boring worm: |
Knife Enterprise 5 | Square bore worm 8.8mm |
Knife Enterprise 7 | Square bore worm 9.2mm |
Knife Enterprise 8 | Square bore worm 10.4mm |
Knife Enterprise 10/12 | Square bore worm 11.7mm |
Knife Enterprise 22 | Square bore worm 13.6mm |
Knife Enterprise 32 | Square bore worm 15.1mm |
Plate Enterprise: | Diameter plate: | Boring worm: |
Plate Enterprise 5 | 53mm round | 8.3mm |
Plate Enterprise 8 | 62mm round | 9.7mm |
Plate Enterprise 10/12 | 70mm round | 10mm |
Plate Enterprise 22 | 83mm round | 11.5mm |
Plate Enterprise 32 | 100mm round | 13.5mm |
Give your antique meat grinder a good scrub with hot water and a little soap. Then dry it well, give it a light coat of sunflower oil. Then put in a new blade and a new plate, and you're done! You're now ready to make your own mince, sausage, burgers and more!
These mills, among others, work with the Enterprise system:
- Porkert
- Alexander work
- Husqvarna
- Bolinder
- Alpha
- Jupiter
- Reliance
- Moravia
- Titan
- SwM
- Sphinx
- Westmark (note: sometimes a small deviation)
