A razor-sharp butcher's knife. Old style. For neatly cutting meat pieces without "damaging" the meat.
History
Ontario Knife Company (Old Hickory) has a long history and a proud tradition dating back to 1889.
The original 3 founders started in Ontario County, New York with the production of the first knives with a large sharpening stone powered by the local watermill. Initially sold locally from a handcart, the company, which now bore the name Ontario Knife Company, quickly made a name for itself.
In 1902, due to this success and the resulting lack of space, they moved to another larger mill powered by flowing water in Franklinville and the production of the knives takes place here to this day. The Old Hickory knives are made of hardened 1095 carbon steel. and the handle made from locally sourced hardwood.
International fame of these authentic knives only came when the YouTube pit masters, the BBQ Pit Boys, used them in their videos and did not want to work with any other knife. Millions of views later, the indestructible, but affordable Old Hickory knives have become an indispensable part of the BBQ world and have become one of our most popular products.
