How does it work?

The SuperFast Thermapen is ideal for taking the temperature of cooked, reheated and chilled foods such as meat, fish, soups, stews and pies. It features a clear, easy to read display, with an accurate temperature readout with a range of -49.9 to 299.9°C.

The Thermapen thermometer features a stainless steel recessed penetration probe that conveniently rotates 180 degrees into the side of the instrument when not in use. The response time of any thermometer is dependent on many factors: the mass of the sensor tip, heat transfer, and most importantly, the condition of the substance being measured. With both air and liquid, agitation is critical for rapid response. The calibration lab tested the Thermapen in a stirred water bath with astonishing results. Each Thermapen® reaches 100% of the test temperature in an astonishing 3 seconds. The Thermapen is available in a range of 10 vibrant colors, so you can buy the one that suits you.

The housing is made of the new washable "Biomaster" material which reduces bacterial growth and the ergonomic rubber seal reduces the risk of water or dust ingress. As well as being water resistant, it is also probably the fastest contact thermometer on the market today. The true temperature of a product can be tested in just three seconds.

What is Biomaster?

Biomaster additives are a strong broad spectrum inorganic silver based biocides for use in plastics, reducing hygiene risks. The concentration of silver, in the patented antimicrobial active ingredient in Biomaster, provides a release of silver ions when required, safely inhibiting microbial growth.
