      Product description

Raw balsam honey is a light, clear honey with a mild and approachable flavour. From July to September, the beekeeper places some of the bee colonies in the floodplains of Noord-Brabant and Zuid-Holland, in the area around the Biesbosch. In these areas, Himalayan balsam and goldenrod bloom abundantly, providing a rich source of nectar.

This honey, formerly known as Biesbosch honey, is characterised by its soft, lightly fruity flavour and beautiful light colour. Thanks to its subtle flavour profile, balsam honey is highly suitable for everyday use. It is delicious as a natural sweetener in tea and coffee, but can also be used well when preparing dishes or desserts.

The balsam honey is raw and is carefully extracted and processed without unnecessary heating. To preserve its original properties and flavour, it is recommended not to heat the honey above 40 degrees. Therefore, only add honey to tea or other drinks once they have reached drinking temperature.

This honey is a pure natural product, and each harvest may differ slightly in colour and flavour, depending on the flowering conditions during the season. An honest, traditionally produced honey, straight from the beekeeper.
