The Joe Jr. is ideal for a picnic, neighborhood party, camping and much more. It weighs only 31 kg and has a grilling surface of no less than 958 cm2 - more than enough for an entire Beer Can Chicken with vegetables. The thick-walled ceramic housing retains the heat, juices and aromas, while the heat dividers (plate setter) allow you to experiment with indirect heat for more flexibility when grilling.

    Al wat je besteld ziet er goed uit.
    En de levering is ook zo snel .

    Allereerst, super service van Vuur en Rook. Omdat de KJ Junior niet op voorraad was, duurde het iets langer. Maar ik werd prima op de hoogte gehouden van de status en de datum van levering.

    Bezorging was prima geregeld. Wat een doos! Ik was eerst verrast door het grote formaat van het pakket, maar kwam ook mede door het gratis BBQ pakket, wat overigens perfect was. Want hiermee kon ik meteen aan de slag!

    Over de kamado zelf ben ik supertevreden. Erg mooi ding en nu na zo'n 10 sessies, blijkt ook hoe veelzijdig de kamado is. Grillen, langzaam roken, op hoge temperatuur pizza's bakken, het kan allemaal. En temperatuur instellen is even oefenen, maar uiteindelijk best gemakkelijk. Schoonmaken is een eitje. Behalve het rooster, hoef je verder weinig moeite te doen om de kamado schoon te houden. Even op hoge temperatuur laten branden en de binnenkant is weer schoon.

    De KJ Junior heb ik vooral vergeleken met de BGE MiniMax en de Bastard Compact. Vergeleken met de BGE is de KJ veel goedkoper en krijg je veel meer waar voor je geld. Vergeleken met de Bastard is de KJ redelijk gelijk. Bij de Bastard krijg je wel iets meer accessoires, zoals een kolenmand, en een deflector stone in twee delen. En een wat modernere topschijf (margrietschrijf). Maar daar betaal je dan ook ca. 100-150 euro meer voor. Al met al, tot nu toe enorm tevreden met mijn KJ Junior!
