    Oak is the choice for anyone who enjoys a long-lasting, evenly burning fire. Of all the common types of firewood in the Netherlands, oak burns the longest – provided it has been properly dried. Thanks to its high density, oak provides long-lasting heat and is particularly suitable for long evenings by the fire.

    We recommend lighting oak firewood with kindling and firelighters using the Swiss lighting method. Compared with other types of wood, oak produces a calmer, less exuberant flame. Oak bark also naturally contains more tannins, which can cause additional creosote buildup in the flue when the wood has not been properly dried. That is why we supply only guaranteed kiln-dried oak, so you can burn it cleanly, efficiently and safely.

    The logs are conventionally split and measure approximately 25 cm in length. For the best results, we recommend using at least 3 logs at a time in your fireplace or wood-burning stove.

    All our oak firewood is completely free from mould and pests and ready for immediate use. The wood is delivered in a sturdy wooden crate, tightly stacked. Please note! This crate cannot be returned.
