    Oak wood is the ideal choice for those who enjoy a long-lasting, consistent fire. Of all the common types of wood in the Netherlands, oak burns the longest – provided it has been properly dried. Thanks to its high density, oak provides long-lasting heat and is particularly suitable for long evenings by the fire.

    We recommend lighting oak wood with kindling and firelighters using the Swiss fire-lighting method. Compared with other types of wood, oak produces a somewhat calmer and less lively flame. Oak bark also naturally contains more tannin, which can cause additional creosote deposits in the flue when the wood has not been properly dried. That is why we supply only guaranteed kiln-dried oak wood, so you can burn it cleanly, efficiently and safely.

    The logs are conventionally split and are approximately 25 cm long. For the best results, we recommend using at least 3 logs at the same time in your fireplace or wood-burning stove.

    All our oak firewood is completely free from mould and pests and ready to use immediately. The wood is supplied in a sturdy wooden crate, neatly stacked. Please note! This crate cannot be returned.
