    Product description

    Once you get used to burning beech wood, you usually won't want anything else. Beech wood is known for its long, slow burn combined with beautiful, calm flames. It is a tough and dense type of wood, which makes it slightly more difficult to light than softer woods. For the best results, we therefore recommend using kindling and firelighters according to the Swiss lighting method.

    Beech is a hardwood that does not spit, making it highly suitable for both open fireplaces and wood-burning stoves. The wood burns very cleanly and has a high calorific value, which even has a cleansing effect on the stove and flue.

    The logs are normally split, but beech wood is naturally somewhat coarser than ash, birch and alder wood. The logs are approximately 25 cm long. For optimal burning results, beech firewood is best used with at least 3 logs at a time.

    All our beech firewood is guaranteed kiln-dried and completely free from mould and pests upon delivery. Please note: beech wood is susceptible to mould growth, even when kiln-dried. The sides in particular can be affected more quickly when exposed to the elements. We therefore recommend storing the wood in a dry and well-ventilated place.

    The wood is delivered in a sturdy wooden crate, tightly stacked. Please note! Unfortunately, this crate cannot be returned.
