    Product description

    Once you get used to burning beech wood, you usually won’t want anything else. Beech wood is known for its long, even burn time combined with beautiful, calm flames. It is a tough, dense type of wood that is slightly more difficult to light than softer woods, but more than makes up for this with its excellent performance. We therefore recommend lighting beech wood using kindling and firelighters according to the Swiss lighting method.

    Beech is a hardwood that does not spit, making it highly suitable for both open fireplaces and wood-burning stoves. It burns very cleanly and has a high calorific value, which even has a cleansing effect on your stove and chimney flue.

    The logs are conventionally split, but beech wood is naturally somewhat coarser than ash, birch and alder wood. The logs are approximately 25 cm long. For the best burning results, we recommend using at least 3 logs at a time.

    All our beech firewood is guaranteed kiln-dried and completely free of mould and pests upon delivery. Please note: beech wood is susceptible to mould growth, even when kiln-dried, especially on the sides when exposed to weather conditions. We therefore recommend storing the wood in a dry, well-ventilated place.

    The wood is delivered in a sturdy wooden crate, tightly stacked. Please note! Unfortunately, this crate cannot be returned.
