    Our birch and alder firewood is ideal for those who want to create warmth and atmosphere quickly. Both types of wood burn quickly and brightly, making them perfect for cosy fires or whenever you want an immediate, powerful fire. This mix is suitable for almost any stove and particularly suitable for heat-retaining stoves and soapstone stoves, to heat the stones and the room quickly. This combination is less suitable for larger open fireplaces.

    Birch wood creates a beautiful play of flames and a characteristic crackling sound from the bark. Alder wood is known for its very clean burn and calm, attractive flame. As both types of wood are relatively soft, they are easy to light and quickly release plenty of heat. We recommend lighting them with kindling and firelighters using the Swiss lighting method.

    The logs are normally split and approximately 25 cm long. For the best burning results, we recommend using at least 3 logs at the same time in your stove or open fireplace.

    All our birch and alder firewood is guaranteed kiln-dried, completely free from mould and pests, and ready for immediate use. The wood is delivered in a sturdy wooden crate, tightly stacked. Please note! This crate cannot be returned.
