    Our birch and alder firewood is the perfect choice for anyone who wants quick warmth and an inviting fire. Both types of wood burn quickly and brightly, making them ideal for those who enjoy a cosy fire or when you want to bring a room up to temperature in a short time. This combination is suitable for almost any stove, and particularly for heat-retaining and soapstone stoves, to warm the stones and room quickly. This mix is less suitable for larger open fireplaces.

    Birch wood creates a beautiful play of flames and a characteristic crackling sound from the bark. Alder wood is known for its clean burn and calm, attractive flame. Both types of wood are relatively soft, making them very easy to light and allowing them to give off plenty of heat quickly. We recommend lighting them with kindling and firelighters using the Swiss lighting method.

    The logs are normally split and have a length of approximately 25 cm. For the best burning results, we recommend using at least 3 logs at a time.

    All our birch and alder firewood is guaranteed kiln-dried, completely free from mould and pests, and ready for immediate use. The wood is delivered in a sturdy wooden crate, tightly stacked. Please note! This crate cannot be returned.
