This combination of birch and oak firewood offers the best of both worlds: instant ambiance and long-lasting warmth. Birch wood burns quickly and brightly, making it ideal for those who enjoy a cozy fire. It creates a beautiful play of flames and a characteristic crackling sound from the bark. Thanks to its soft structure, birch wood is easy to light and gives off heat quickly. It is suitable for almost any stove, but less suitable for larger open fireplaces.

Oak wood is known for its long and slow burn. Of all common wood types in the Netherlands, oak burns the longest, provided it is properly dried. Compared to other wood types, oak produces calmer and less exuberant flames. Oak bark also naturally contains more tannins, which can cause additional creosote buildup when the wood is insufficiently dry. That is why we only supply guaranteed kiln-dried oak wood, for safe and clean burning.

For lighting, we recommend kindling and firelighters using the Swiss lighting method. The logs are normally split and have a length of approximately 25 cm. For the best burning results, this firewood is best used with at least 3 logs at a time.

All our birch and oak firewood is completely free of mold and pests and ready for immediate use. The wood is delivered in a sturdy wooden crate, neatly stacked. Please note! Unfortunately, this crate cannot be returned.
