    Product description

Our Sekelbos firewood is imported directly from Namibia. Sekelbos is a hard, dense wood species. When burned, it produces a beautiful hot coal bed that burns longer and hotter than most other types of wood or charcoal. Thanks in part to its low moisture content, it burns efficiently and cleanly, producing virtually no smoke. Add the scent of Africa, and anyone who loves a braai simply must try Sekelbos!

The natural and unique oils found in Sekelbos are renowned for enhancing the flavor of meat. Sekelbos is yellow in color; these trees are often found in desert regions and are naturally dried there.

    Sekelbos features:

    • Naturally dried in the African sun. < 2% moisture
    • Beautiful blue/yellow flames
    • Virtually no smoke
    • Wonderful aroma
    • Beautiful and convenient size
    • Very clean and beautifully presented
    • Burns extremely long
    • Large coals, more heat
    • Extremely hard wood
    • 100% Natural
    • Sustainably harvested
    • Supports wildlife and local communities in the savannas of Namibia

All BOB’S imported wood comes exclusively from and is harvested from desolate trees in Namibia. Dried in the desert sun with a moisture content of less than 2%

Versatile, dense wood species that produce long-lasting coals, ideal for low and slow indirect cooking and for direct high-temperature cooking
