    Product description

    This thermometer is for the lid (dome) and comes as standard with every Big Green Egg. If the thermometer needs to be replaced over time because it has broken, it is also available separately. The Big Green Egg thermometer is essential for measuring and monitoring the temperature in the dome of the Green Egg. The thermometer is precisely calibrated and accurately measures the correct temperature when smoking, baking, roasting or grilling.


    Calibrating the thermometer
    It may happen that your thermometer no longer works properly. To ensure that it continues to display the correct temperature, you can calibrate the thermometer. To do this, remove the thermometer from the lid. Then suspend the thermometer probe in boiling water (make sure it does not touch the bottom) and check whether it reads 100 °C. If not, adjust the thermometer using the adjustment nut on the back until it reads 100 °C. Then suspend the thermometer probe in ice water until the temperature has dropped to 0 °C. Repeat the entire process until the thermometer reads 100 °C in boiling water.
