When cooking indirectly, placing the ingredients on the outer edge of your cooking grid gives them more direct heat. This is caused by the openings on the sides of the convEGGtor. With the new shape of the convEGGtor, these openings are smaller, allowing you to cook more evenly over a larger surface area!

The ceramic convEGGtor is a heat shield that prevents the food from coming into direct contact with the heat source.

Because the heat is indirect, the effect of an oven is created. This is an ideal cooking method for all ‘oven’ dishes, cooking delicate ingredients, low-temperature cooking and using the Dutch Oven. The convEGGtor can optionally be combined with the Flat Baking Stone, on which you can bake the most delicious bread and pizzas with an authentic crispy crust.
