The special design of the Big Green Egg convEGGtor ensures good airflow and excellent heat distribution throughout the ceramic of your barbecue. The indirect heat released by the ceramic heat shield transforms your EGG into a fully-fledged outdoor oven, but in kamado form. Ideal for low & slow cooking, where your ingredients are cooked slowly at a low temperature.

      When cooking indirectly, placing the ingredients on the outer edge of your cooking grid exposes them to more direct heat. This is caused by the openings on the sides of the convEGGtor. With the new shape of the Big Green Egg convEGGtor, these openings are smaller, allowing you to cook more evenly over a larger surface area!
