Beech wood is known for its long, even burn time combined with beautiful, calm flames. It is a tough, dense type of wood that is slightly more difficult to light than softer woods, but more than makes up for this with its excellent performance. We therefore recommend lighting beech wood using kindling and firelighters according to the Swiss lighting method.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"627\" data-end=\"876\"\u003eBeech is a hardwood that does not spit, making it highly suitable for both open fireplaces and wood-burning stoves. It burns very cleanly and has a high calorific value, which even has a cleansing effect on your stove and chimney flue.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"878\" data-end=\"1116\"\u003eThe logs are conventionally split, but beech wood is naturally somewhat coarser than ash, birch and alder wood. The logs are approximately 25 cm long.
